My art journey started at the early age of 16. I decided at that time, when my parents forbade me from studying art in college, to do whatever I can to learn every technique I possibly could to see my goals through. Decades later I am still on the journey.

My Indigo Manifestations are a portal to the Astral Plane.

After about 12 years of trying I concluded that my black female “art Brut” was not going to be acceptable in traditional galleries. I moved on to commercial art and entrepreneurship where I found success in the Film & Television industry as a sought after special FX tattoo artist.

That all came to a halt during Covid lock downs. It was then that I began my Japanese Indigo Shibori tie dye practice. Initially I dyed raw denim for my street wear brand Grace X Originals. Then one day as I unfurled one of many hundreds of tie dye works from my indigo vat, I saw a face peering back at me. The more I looked the more faces manifested before my eye. That is when my fine art journey shifted into a spiritual journey. The Manifestations draw the viewer in to see through the veil.

I am currently working on my first series, Indigo Manifestations. I am excited to share them and go deeper into the technical aspects of my practice as they arrive.
